In other words, a company's knowledge graph may rank in the middle in mobile searches, but it may appear high in Gboard search results. News pages and the like tend to be displayed higher on Gboard. This is because when searching using Gboard, sharing activities such as posting status updates or sending messages are assumed. Patel said Google seems to assume that in these cases, more recent information, such as news articles, will have a greater advantage. When a news article appears on Gboard, its pages and rankings may not exactly match what you see on a mobile browser. This is because the news units may be different. For example, fast-loading news articles that support AMP may be ranked higher in mobile searches . Patel says this isn't the case with Gboard, but it makes a lot of sense. This is because on Gboard, people often share articles rather than actually reading them.

Let's look at other differences. The “ In The News ” block contains many links to news articles on both mobile and desktop. However, Gboard does not support such displays. Although both news results are prominently displayed, they are not completely identical. Although the AMP carousel is not displayed on Gboard (it is displayed on mobile), Recode articles that are not AMP-compatible are displayed.
